Do it to Mordecai!

This piece was rescued from "the can" after I decided to change it from a depiction of Haman's character, to depict the conversation Haman has with Xerxes in Esther 6:6-10.

King Xerxes asks Haman what should be done to the man the King wishes to honor. Haman thinks the King is referring to him, and tries to give himself a procession on city streets with the King's royal robe, horse, led by a noble prince. Xerxes commands Haman to honor none other than Mordecai, the Jew who refused to bow before Haman.

Xerxes is a tenor, Haman is a bass; the chorus is a four part SATB choir.

Xerxes: "There's a man I wish to honor, what shall be done unto this honorable man?"
Haman [thinking to himself]: "Who else the King would honor, who else but me, me? Who else deserves the honor, who else but me, me?"
[To Xerxes]: "For this honorable man: Bring forth the King's royal robe, bring forth the King's royal horse, one with a royal crest!"
Chorus: "[Women] For this honorable man, bring the royal robe and horse; [Men] Bring the royal robe and horse!"
Haman [with Chorus imitating]: "Then entrust the robe and horse unto the King's most noble prince who'll lead the honorable man through city streets proclaiming: This is done! To the man! Which the King! Honors!
Xerxes: "Get the royal robe and horse, for this honorable man! [Xerxes and Haman, and Chorus join]: "Lead the man through city streets and may the noblest prince proclaim unto all: This is done unto the man which the King wishes to honor!"
Xerxes: "Go at once!"
Haman: "I'm ready sire!" [Chorus echoes: "Go at once!"]
Xerxes: "Go lead the horse!"
Haman: "I'll ride the horse!" [Chorus echoes: "Go lead the, no LEAD the horse!"]
Xerxes: "Don't you forget!"
Haman: "I won't forget!" [Chorus echoes: "Don't forget!"]
Xerxes: "Do as you say!"
Haman: "I'll do what I say!" [Chorus echoes: "Do what you say!"]
Xerxes: "Do it to Mordecai!"
Haman: "Do it to Mordecai?"
Xerxes: "Yes!"
Chorus [echoing Xerxes]: "Do as you say and don't you forget it, do it to Mordecai! Yes!"
